About me

History of the name "Vorzath"

The name is near and dear to my childhood heart. It stemmed from the peak of Lego Bionicle - I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, taking apart existing sets and building my own villains to create new challenges for the penultimate heroes of the realm, the Toa Nuva. I had some scratch paper and was writing down names in a similar style to the baddies of the Bionicle universe. One name resonated in all my brainstorming: Vorzath.

I had fun with this epic Bionicle villain for awhile, and it stuck with me over the years, especially as our online personas grew with us in the early 2000's and 2010's. Whenever I made an account, I didn't use my real name - I used Vorzath. It slowly grew into my online persona as a whole.

I didn't think much of it in the early years and as it grew, but it came back to the forefront during the COVID lockdown when I spent some of my spare time learning how to stream via Twitch. This locked-in the persona, and I started to put more active effort into securing the identity on more platforms.

I bought the domain vorzath.com, which led me to the realization "Ah, heck... I need to actually make a website."

So here we are! I'm Vorzath, a deeply existential artist locked in the eternal struggle of... actually creating art.

Thanks for checking me out! Enjoy your stay, and stay tuned for sporadic updates to this site, I hope to turn it into a central portfolio for my technical and creative works.
